UPDATED: [PHOTOS & VIDEOS] Home Destroyed in Early Morning Blaze

fire 2PHOTOS & VIDEO: (VIDEO 2) [UPDATED 5:20 AM] The Lakewood Fire Department is currently battling a fully engulfed structure fire in Lakewood.

The fire broke out at a vacant 5th Street home shortly before 4 a.m., officials say. The fire was reportedly upgraded to a third-alarm General after flames continued to rip through the home.

fire 4An official tells TLS the home has been known to contain squatters, though it’s unknown at this time if anyone was inside at the time.

UPDATE 5:15 AM: The fire has been mostly brought under control. Firefighters are entering the home now to determine whether anyone was inside.

Authorities are on scene to investigate the cause of the fire.

  1. Does anyone want to ask the hard question ? How does a house with no services gas electric ect catch on fire in the middle of the night. Then not just catch fire be fully involved before the first fire truck gets on scene
