As first reported on TLS Communities, Lakewood Police officers moments ago chased down and arrested a suspected arsonist.
The man allegedly set multiple fires across the township this evening, including several in wooded areas, and one inside a residential window well.
According to officials, approximately four fires were ignited before officers searching the area spotted the suspect actively setting another blaze.
Police immediately gave chase and apprehended him moments later near Park Avenue.
An investigation into the incidents is underway.

We don’t need police to stop aggressive driver in our township. Many driver go wrong lane and force other diver to get frightened. We don’t need Police in this township. The Lakewood BMG don’t want police to end illegal parking even they park where they aren’t supposed to. For example fire hydrant. Sidewalk blocking pedestrians walkways. Blocking corner huggers. People can’t see on coming traffic. Everything is perfectly fine. We never need police in this township and shopping center people park in fire lane zone and go in store and that is ok. People drive down one way street where they are driving disobey the one way street sign. People are not obeying no left turn on Route 9. Lakewood Township doesn’t want to make this township safe. Look how much accident is happening. Lakewood is safe !!!! This township Government have proven that they don’t care about Your safety!!!! There are lack of crosswalk and lack of Police. It is 100 percent safe.
It’s not that they don’t care, just the opposite, the mashgiach, Rav Matisyahu Salomon mentioned safe driving a number of times, over the years (and to mention something more than once was something, as his lectures were recorded, printed and discussed). The issue is more the infrastructure issue etc. But certainly, people should drive and park as safely as possible.

Suspected arsonist. Innocent until proven guilty. I’m PROUD to live in this kind of society where ALL are given a fair trial. Face not being blurred is unfair to the defendant. And frankly, I think anyone who disagrees with me that this is part of what makes the country great belongs in a different country. Do you have dual citizenship? Maybe you should self deport

You’re not making sense. You can use the term “allegedly” all you want but the fact of the matter is, police caught him in the act. Besides why is it different than that putz who did the bank robbery in Maine before doing that overturn on Clifton Avenue last week? We all saw his face. And how is different than the monster that shot at those two innocent National Guardsman last week in DC? We all saw that Afghan’s sick face.. or the loser that killed Charlie Kirk? Its simple! if they are accused of a crime and are arrested as a result, the media have every right to show a picture of the ‘alleged’ perpetrator ..
I don’t have dual citizenship and I heavily disagree with you. Just because he’s innocent in a court of law, that doesn’t mean that a picture of the crime scene can’t be released. Don’t you know that mug shots are publicly available? Do you even have any citizenship?
It’s probably metal illness. No normal person does such a thing. If so, it’s a bit hard to say it was a crime on his part per se’.
