BREAKING: Lakewood bus driver dies in school parking lot

PHOTO: A Lakewood bus driver has died after being found unconscious aboard a school bus, officials confirm to TLS.

At about 5:45 PM, police and EMS personnel responded to the Lakewood Middle School bus compound for reports of a bus driver unconscious. Upon arrival, they located the man, and immediately began performing CPR.

The man, 58, was transported to Ocean Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

“CPR was performed for approximately 50 minutes. However, the driver passed away in spite of the efforts made to save him,” an official said.

Police are investigating.
