A Howell man was arrested by Lakewood Police after making terroristic threats against Jews in Lakewood.
On March 26, at approximately 9PM, Lakewood Police was notified of a Bias Terroristic Threat made towards the Jewish community in Lakewood via a Facebook post by a neighboring resident.
Further investigation led by Detectives Patrick Kearns, Tyler Distefano and Dsgt. Nate Reyes confirmed that the author of the posts was 43 year old Anthony Lodespoto of Howell NJ.
According to his post, he made specific threats to cause harm to members of the Jewish Community for not complying with the orders set forth by Governor Murphy’s Office.
Detectives located Lodespoto at his Howell home on Dutch Valley Road around 3:45pm this afternoon. He was taken into custody without incident.
Lodespoto was charged with 2nd degree Terroristic Threats and will be transported to the Ocean County Jail.
Chief Meyer would like to thank the OCPO and Howell Police Depts for their assistance and have it known that we will not tolerate people who use this time to make threats against any member of our community.
