The Sadigura Rebbe was assaulted in Lakewood this evening, sources confirmed to TLS.
The suspect, believed to be an emotionally deranged person, was reportedly walking with a child and yelling the Rebbe is Moshiach, before entering the home he was staying at and began assaulting the Rebbe.
“He began punching the Rebbe and pulled on his beard,” a source close to the Rebbe told TLS. He was luckily not seriously injured.
The Rebbe, from London/Eretz Yisroel, spent Pesach in Lakewood. Following the incident, he was taken into Brooklyn.
The suspect fled the scene but was caught and taken into custody a short time later.
First of all, I feel terrible for the Rebbe and I’m certainly glad he wasn’t seriously injured. But, more importantly, nebech on the assailant. A guy should be so “arup finn zihnen” he attacks a Rebbe a Talmid Chochom, while screaming those things. It’s so sad, thinking, since apon a time this guy was a cute 7 yr old asking the 4 kashes at the seder.

Unfortunately it’s nothing new .will never forget the deranged person who killed Babba Elazar Abuchtsira .
