FIRST REPORT: Durham Bus Service will be bringing back busing to Lakewood, TLS has learned.
The company, which pulled out of Lakewood earlier this year, will begin with several buses and cover multiple routes, and evaluate further.
The move comes as a result of a negotiations between the LSTA and Durham, as the former continues to seek ways to add more buses to the roads in Lakewood.
There are still several thousand children without busing, but officials feel Durham’s coming to Lakewood is a step in the right direction and will help the crisis end soon.
