BREAKING: Congressman Jeff Van Drew Says “Good Possibility” Drones Over NJ Are From Iran, Calls for Them to be Shot Down [UPDATED]

The Pentagon says there is no evidence the drones are from a foreign entity

UPDATE: The Pentagon has stated that “at this time there’s no evidence that these drones are coming from a foreign entity or adversary, and at no point were our installations threatened when this activity was occurring.” The Pentagon also said in reply to Van Drew’s statement that there is no truth to it and there is no Iranian ship or so-called mothership launching drones at the United States.

Original Story:

Congressman Jeff Van Drew has just announced that there is a high possibility that the unidentified drones over NJ are from Iran. This comes just a few hours after a Senior FBI Official said they do not know who is operating the drones.

According to Van Drew, Iran entered a deal with China to purchase drones and motherships as well as other technology “in order to go forward”.

“There is circumstantial evidence that suggests these drones could be the work of foreign adversaries, specifically Iran. Right now, we know that there are drones flying in from the direction of the ocean” said Van Drew. The time to act on this information is now before the threat escalates any further. These drones are intentionally flying in uncontrolled airspace, expertly navigating around areas with radar coverage. We should have already taken action by imposing flight restrictions to regain our control. Whether this is a foreign adversary or even just a group of drone hobbyists, we cannot allow unidentified drones to operate freely in our airspace with no consequences and it is time we eliminate the threat they pose and shoot them down.

Van Drew explained that Iran launched a mothership probably about a month ago and it is currently stationed off the East Coast of the United States where they launched drones. He emphasized that these drones have to be neutralized and the military is on alert in response.

Van Drew disclosed that he has this from very high, qualified and responsible sources who are telling him this in confidentiality.

“We are currently falling behind our enemies in terms in terms of drone technology, and because of it, our country is exposed. We need to catch up, and fast. South Jersey is home to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) William J. Hughes Technical Center, which is uniquely equipped to address these challenges. As Vice Chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and a member of the Aviation Subcommittee, I will be working to prioritize the development of a comprehensive national strategy to enhance our radar coverage along the East Coast and beyond, as well as the creation of a drone patrol network to monitor and defend our skies. Our enemies are not waiting for us to catch up–and neither should we” said Van Drew.

Van Drew also pointed out that these drones are not within reach of hobbyists and had the government been using drones, they would have informed the public if it was them.

  1. Let’s just start shooting guns wildly at anything in the sky that has lights, what could possibly go wrong? Seriously though, we need to sink that mothership off the coast immediately and bomb Iran’s navy out of existence like we did in the 1970s. We don’t even have an app like Tzofar in Israel that notifies us of dangers like this. We saw an SUV sized drone in our neighborhood last week. What was disturbing is that the winds were very strong and it wasn’t affected. This is dangerous military technology, not the LWPD traffic drones.

  2. This is what happens when the public is kept in the dark. Everyday people and politicians start making up stories. Some branch of government must investigate these drones and let us know why they are out there. Please stop making up stories and demand the truth.

  3. The fact that the drones could be from terrorists should serve as a strong reminder that our safety comes exclusively from בורא עולם. Those individuals who get overly caught up in Trump”ism” are subjecting themselves to forget this reality.

  4. Netanyahu Calls On Biden To Temper US Response To Alleged Iranian Drone Incursions
Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu spoke by telephone with President Joe Biden on Wednesday and urged the US President to temper any future responses to Iran’s recent [alleged] drone incursions into US airspace.
NJ congressman Jeff Van Drew suggested on Wednesday that dozens of unidentified drones recently seen hovering over parts of NJ belong to Iran, which prompted the Israeli head of state to seek out reassurances from the US President that America’s response to the drone incursions will be “extremely tempered, exceedingly polite and highly cordial.”
“There’s no reason to overreact to the drone incursions,” Mr. Netanyahu reportedly told Mr. Biden. “If the Mullahs are flying drones over NJ airspace, then the US should respond in a tempered, affable and courteous manner, by flying a few friendly and harmless drones over Tehran airspace, and then calling it a day.”
“There’s no reason to escalate the situation by shooting down the drones,” the Israeli PM told Mr. Biden. “Just fly a few drones into Tehran airspace with banner messages attached to the aircraft wishing the Mullahs a Happy New Year. And that’s it! Mission accomplished!”
Mr. Netanyahu also hinted to Mr. Biden that Israel might “halt all future deliveries of Tehina and Humus supplies to the US, if the WH refuses to respond to the Iranian drone incursions in a highly cordial, gracious and amicable fashion.”
