A woman in Brick has died after a vehicle crashed into her home today.
The 55-year-old woman, Barbara Anne Filan, was in the living room when a vehicle, driven by an 86-year-old man, came crashing into her home. He was taken to Ocean Medical Center in Brick for precautionary measures.

The silence from the Lakewood kvetchers -who complain about OUR drivers—–is definitely loud and clear!
Uh, the driver was 86.
Not 26. Or 36 for that matter.
Wow, a person is dead, and your first thought is about how people complain about the drivers in this town?
You need to examine your life, and get your priorities in order.
BH i am still able to drive but i have long felt that from the time a person begins to get social security, that person should be required to retake a driving test every time he/she renews his/her license
RIP
Dear Filan family and the entire Brick community, this is terribly tragic story and I’m praying for strength for all who knew her- my most heartfelt condolences. Your neighbor in Lakewood
In Toronto once u reach 80 you need to take a road test every 2 yrs. What’s taking so long 4 them to do this here?
I’m for that ! Every 2 years !
Police has not released the deceased nsme??? It’s right there
Wow So sad:( May she RIP, our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
With heartfelt condolences, a Lakewooder who feels in ur pain
