Two people have been killed in an accident on the Garden State Parkway a short time ago, NJSP confirmed.
The accident happened at approximately mile marker 117 southbound.
According to preliminary reports from passerby, multiple people were ejected from an overturned vehicle.
The New Jersey State Police fatal accident team is enroute to the scene.
A chopper has landed on the parkway to airlift at least one patient.

UPDATE: “At 7:18pm, NJSP responded to the report of a two-vehicle crash on the GSP south in the local lanes at MP 119.6 in Aberdeen Twp.,” NJSP said. “There are 2 confirmed fatalities and 1 serious injury. The right lane is closed for the investigation. No further information is available.”
I was there a moment after the car landed upsidedown! But I couldn’t stop as I was in the express lane & they were in the local lane. It was frightening!
