[UPDATE: Monday 12:53pm] Authorities have confirmed that the second pilot involved in Sunday’s helicopter collision has died from his injuries, and police have now identified both victims.
Kenneth L. Kirsch, 65, of Carney’s Point, the pilot of the F-28A, was flown to Cooper University Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Michael Greenberg, 71, of Sewell, the pilot of the 280C, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say that witnesses reported the helicopters were flying close together just before the collision. The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are both on scene and continuing their investigation.

Emergency crews are responding after two helicopters reportedly collided in New Jersey today.
The accident happened in Hammonton, NJ, Atlantic County shortly before noon.
Reports of at least one killed, and one seriously injured.

UPDATE: Statement from the FAA: This information is preliminary and subject to change. An Enstrom F-28A helicopter and Enstrom 280C helicopter collided in mid-air near Hammonton Municipal Airport in New Jersey around 12:25 p.m. (sic) local time on Sunday, Dec. 28. Only the pilots were on board each aircraft. The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board will investigate. The NTSB will be in charge of the investigation and will provide further updates.
