UPDATE: Friday morning: A Second person has died in the accident.

At least one person was killed l, and another seriously injured in an accident in Toms River this evening, TLS has learned.

The two-vehicle accident happened around 9:00 PM on Hooper Avenue near Fischer Boulevard, and left one vehicle overturned in the woods, sources told TLS.

As a result, the driver of one of the vehicles, a female, was pronounced dead, and the male driver from the overturned vehicle was seriously injured.

An investigation is underway.
