As reported on TLS, lawyers for Oros Bais Yaakov filed a lawsuit against Jackson Township for knowingly and illegally destroying evidence pertaining to matters of litigation.
On Friday morning, Agudath Israel of America filed their own lawsuit before federal judge Douglas E. Arpert over Jackson’s destroying of records relating to ongoing litigation over Jackson’s legally questionable ban on eruvs.
Agudath Israel’s suit requests of the federal judge the same as that of Oros Bais Yaakov’s state lawsuit – that Jackson Township be prevented from continuing to destroy evidence and to be penalized for the records they have already destroyed.
Jackson Township’s attempt to hide crucial evidence from the public eye has now landed them in both State and Federal court, with serious consequences possible for any officials involved in the matter.
Judge Arpert, before whom this new lawsuit has been filed, is the judge that has been presiding over Agudath Israel’s lawsuit over eruvs for the past 18 months.

Heard over Shabbos that there are 4 lawsuits being prepared…people plan on suing personally over civil rights violations…its a shame that Reina and Nixon are not trying to bring people together
