  1. Follow the money trail…..The military companies are the only ones that profit from this and are probably behind this. It’s not conspiracy – just common sense. Now the government has to pay billions more to restock for other places….Following the money trail will ALWAYS answer all the confounding political AND OTHER questions…..someone always benefits and is usually behind whatever is going on.

  2. Some estimates put the amount of cash that Obama freed up for Iran at $150 billion. He also gave them about $1.8 billion in cash. A lot of that money went to finance Iran’s terrorist activities in Yemen, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq etc. Additionally, in June of this year, when Iran lost its vote in the UN, due to $65 million it owed to the UN, the Biden administration enabled the Mullahs to use funds frozen in South Korea to pay back roughly $16 million of that debt, thus enabling Iran to regain its vote. So, I think the Taliban guys are pretty miffed right now about only getting $85 worth of military equipment from Biden. I mean, fair is fair, right? However, with a few repairs to the equipment, the Taliban will have access to top notch military goods, without even having to exert much effort. So, if I were the Taliban, I wouldn’t complain; ultimately Biden has been pretty fair to them, and to Iran.

    • It was their money. I don’t remember lakewood scoop talking aout Trump and the abandonment of the Kurds or how we left military bases for the Russians to take over. Bias continues to show.

  3. TLS…instead of blindly repeating a Trump quote…it would be helpful if you fact checked it first.

Obviously, this military evacuation has embarrassed our country. It was foolish (losing the only military bases in that region), unnecessary (there were only 2,500 troops left…as opposed to South Korea, Japan, and other areas where we still maintain tens of thousands), and was against his own military advisors advice.
He made a political decision, not a strategic one.

But that’s being said, the $85B number (which is actually $83B) was the TOTAL spending on Afghan troops over the 20 years. Not the equipment value of what was left. A 2017 report actually estimated the equipment spend at around 20% of that total. So more accurately speaking there was around 20B of equipment spent over the 20years. Some of that is definitely non-existent at this time.

There’s enough to poke fun and deride Biden on, without having to resort to non-truths.

It pays to take the high road and be accurate. You’ll only gain in credibility.

  4. This news is far from “Breaking”

And while we’re on the topic, I would recommend retiring the term ‘Breaking News’ completely, it’s overused and annoying.
