Police in Denver have arrested four suspects in connection with a crime spree along Colfax Ave. that ended in the shooting death of Shmuli Silverberg z”l, who was buried in Lakewood on Wednesday night. A fifth suspect is still on the loose.
Police say they do not believe that the attack was motivated by bias as other victims from the crime spree were not Jewish.
Seth James Larhode, 21, Isaiah James Freeman, 18, Aden Sides, 18, and Noah Loepp-Hall, 19, were booked in the Denver Detention Center around 6:30 am this morning. They are facing multiple charges, including murder, burglary, aggravated robbery, aggravated motor vehicle theft, menacing, and assault.
Police say the crime spree began with a carjacking at around 10:50 pm Tuesday night down the road from the yeshiva. About 10 minutes later, there was a shooting and robbery that left one person seriously injured. Then, around 11:30 pm, Shmuli Silverberg hy”d was shot and killed outside Yeshiva Toras Chaim.
Despite reports that there was some interaction between Shmuli and his killers before the shooting, it should be noted that those reports are as of now unconfirmed.

I think the time has come and we can’t push it off any longer.
The schools today need security.
It is what it is.
Just like a school has to arrange for funds to pay salaries to the teachers, security is also important.
Let’s hope Mashiach comes soon.
