3. Someone called them..although they do help out when the officers are spread thin..and lately they are able to cover more ground. I have to say I appreciate them helping. Now we just need more of the residents of Lakewood to “get involved”

4. I applaud the LPD for all their great work! but why dont they abolish the law that a cop has be present at every road work site so this way they womt be spread so thin…

6. u might need some more knowledge. The officers working @ construction sites are off-duty and wouldn`t be on shift even if they wern`t req to at the construction sites

7. to #4-the cops at road work sites are not on duty so it hasn’t nothing to with a shortage or being spread thin. More cops need to be hired to fix that

It’s more like this….one cop hides near a traffic light then when a poor old woman goes through on a questionable yellow or red they pounce on the vehicle and have three cops surrounding the vehicle as if they had just cornered Osama Bin Ladin! In the meantime….four banks and two supermarkets get robbed on the other side of town!!!
