Chateau Park Shul Burglarized

PHOTOS: [UPDATED] Police are investigating a break in at the Chateau Park Shul this evening. The perpetrator reportedly made his way through a rear door, and proceeded to burglarize the place. Sources say the burglar made his way into the Mikvah room, and then made his way upstairs.

The perpatrators stole several Pushkahs, and attempted to break in to the Aron Kodesh with a fire extingusiher, (pictured), but only managed to break off the handle.

Other damage was also done to the Shul.

Police are reviewing security cameras.

In March last year, a similar incident occurred at the same Shul. (Pictured)

  1. every single week, i go to the scoop Motzo shabbos to see which area was robbed. WE NEED MORE SECURITY ON SHABBOS! I dont understand, there are barely any cars on the road so what are the cops all doing? (they have noone to give tickets to)

  2. Where are all our tax dollars for police protection going? These shabbos shul burglaries are happening every week. How about some extra police protection?

  3. as the economy continues going down & getting worse, people (robbers) are getting more desperate & in more need for money. willing to take greater risks at getting caught, due to the fact that they have not got much value to life either way (caught or not)

  4. obviously these people don’t believe in God. if they did they’d do the right thing. it’s a shame they had to damage the place. it’s sad to hear of people who rob places. GET A JOB!!

  5. Well said #3, don’t mean to knock the cops but something has to be done about shabbos robberies the situation is spinning out of control fast!! Its time to speak up and defend ourselves.

  6. I guess the police may have been busy with the rest of the town, as I am sure not everyone is frum in this town. If you want more police then tell the committee to hire more. They are down like 30 officers in the past few years and the town is growing by leaps and bounds

  7. is it so hard to alarm the shuls after you leave for the nite and shabbos? do you really expect extra consideration from the police beacuse you dont want to spare the expense of an alarm or the hassle of cleaning out all valuables before closing up? not the entire town is frum so the town doesnt shut down every friday nite, leaving the police free to safe-guard valuables that the owners are responsible for. if my house gets robbed while i’m on vacation, i dont expect the town to post an officer by my door the next time i go out of town. take responsiblity for your own actions and possessions and maybe these robberies would finally stop.
