This brazen suspect decided to burglarize a vehicle in Lakewood while the homeowner sat just feet away.
It happened about 10:45 PM last night on County Line Road, when the woman was sitting on her steps.
“My wife was still in middle of unpacking the car – the bags were still on the steps, and she sat down for a minute to check her phone,” the homeowner told TLS. “She was about to lock the doors after putting the stuff inside. That’s when he went to the car.”
The homeowner says the burglar initially didn’t see her because of the car in between them, and when he came around the car, he realized he was being watched.
The woman asked him what he was doing there, after which he casually walked off.
The woman immediately called police but the suspect was gone.

I don’t think I would sit there and watch someone get into my vehicle illegally.
Hope the cops are out thru the night tonight. It shouldn’t be that hard to spot the thieves at 3am, the streets are dead. Otherwise I think ea, neighborhood should hire private security.
It is high time to finally nab these lowlife creatures if they are out there again this Friday Night. They need some of the good ole Williamsburg Chaptzem treatment.
To the editor- “brazen” can sound like a compliment- while actually the guy was probably the opposite, a chicken to grab sth from an open car- he probably didnt even realize some1 sitting on the porch!
