4. the townships response to this potentially dangerous situation was a joke! people in front of the building were evacuated to the library, yet the kept the building open and allowed people to come in and out!

11. you guys are all crazy! it was a practice run to see whether the lpd knows how to handle such a situation, i mean you never know when such a thing can happen right here in lakewood. did you hear about the mail bomb that was sent from yemen that was addressed to a jewish religious center in chicago a couple of months ago? it can happen here in the biggest frum community in the usa! we need to be prepared to do our hishtadlus to handle the situation. the police will handle the gashmius part and us b’nai toirah will handle the ruchnius part bu davening and learning.

12. We live in crazy times where every package and every person is suspect. To send a pkg. by UPS now, you have to show your ID. And everyone knows what goes on at the airports. Maybe soon we’ll have to go through detectors and scanners to get into a store or a library.

22. Unfortunately from a law enforcement perspective a back pack is not just a back pack this day in age anything is possible and we would rather error on the side of caution so we to can go home to our families at the end of the day.
