The Board of Education this morning voted to get rid of their legal firm – as earlier reported on our News Alerts. The relatively new firm was voted out by nearly all members in a special early-morning meeting.
The firm of Schenck, Price and Smith was hired as an interim until a new attorney is found, a Board member said. A committee has been set up for the task of finding a new firm to represent them.
The firm of Schwartz, Simon and Edelstein – which replaced long-time attorney Michael Inzulbuch – was representing the BOE for about 13 months. [TLS]
Bring him back!!
what didn’t they like???
@ #1, Keep him where he is.
Bring back Michael!!!
I’m glad to see the board can take swift action to rectify a unpleasant situation.
As long as they are trying to save the taxpayers money and have a good piublic school system then I’m good.
Their heart is in the right place.
To Chaim Yankel: the messed up there done!! I want results not good hearts!
hire Commissioner Loigman?
It’s not about heart, it’s about know how. Would you go to them for surgery?
They need MI back to save their skin.
Do you really think MII would come back after the way they treated him?
The Board made a wise cost-cutting move. They obviously knew they could get the same quality legal representation, for much less.
The majority of the board is extremely pleased with today’s decision and this decision was well received by the public. If any Michael Inzelbach supporters have an issue they can come to the meetings and voice their concerns. Thank you!
We want Inzelbuch back!!
The Edelstein team was too over-rated but even more over-priced!
Michael is having a good laugh, he aint coming back now even if you beg
