For Everyone’s Safety, Schools
Should be Closed.
Even your “beloved” Governor has delayed the state workers from coming on until 11. Maybe Lakewood should put safety for all the students first!
I am a school bus driver. For those that think buses are safer in snow and ice you are incorrect. School buses slide on icy roads just like a car does. They also roll in instances. Parents should be aware that my bus has slide down Massachusetts avenue sideways while my foot was on the brake. I can tell you first hand that I have lost all control of my bus in icy conditions on numerous occasions and have feared my safety and the children’s safety. Lakewood private is often open when all other districts close for the children’s safety. Tell the board your children come first !
