  1. My taxes aren’t going down I got over that already

So Grunhut who’s a mentch,Singer who will do as the mosdos want and Irene Miccio out of respect how much she did for us the last 30 years.

  2. The best man will only win if we stop going to the polls like sheep to their slaughter, without doing proper research into the people we are voting for. If you know nothing about the race dont vote. “Shev veal taaseh odif”.

  3. I know the elections are this week but could someone please tell me what the budget will be and how much my taxes will go up for a 30 something percent graduation rate within public schools and countless additional places of private education within the town… just wondering why I have to pay school taxes for private schools as I was a student of a private school as a child and I was never afforded courtesy busing nor were my parents afforded an opportunity to have my education payed for by anyone else than themselves.

  4. while your taxes may not go down if you do not vote for the lac endorsed candidates they will undoubtedly go way up. The 3.4 million dollar increase that they wanted to pas this year costing the average homeowner 300 dollars was only shot down because of the lac members. Everyone has a choice either vote for the lac candidates or get ready for 400-500 dollar yearly increases as it was before they came on scene. I continue to be flabbergasted at how few people vote their pocket book at the elections but yet go running to save money at every sale. If they would just use common sense they would have a built in savings of 400 plus dollars every year

  5. This is the most important election of the year!! This election will have a direct effect on your tax bill and your children’s services. Be a responsible voter and vote for the candidates who are out there and willing to fix things not the candidates who are just there in name only!!

  6. Definitively go out to vote!

Respecting the informed recommendation of the vast consensus of those who are Moser Nefesh on a daily basis to provide for the Chinuch of the tens of thousands of our Tzibbur’s children is the only responsibility and mature way to go.

  7. Bill Hobday and unite are endorsing silver, mund And Schwartz!! Make sure to vote for them – they’re the first three names on the ballot.

  8. To “let’s see”
Not sure what town you’re referring to. I pay thousands in tuition for my children’s private education. The same goes for all parents who choose private schooling. Not one dime is subsdized. As for bussing, the law provides for it over a set distance from the school or if there are dangerous intersections along the route.
On a side note, I ASSURE you, your taxes would be WAY higher if all the Jewish kids were to attend public school!

  9. I wonder what Mr. Silver meant when he spoke to the Asbury Park Press?: “Silver, an incumbent whose children attend private schools, is seeking a second term and voted to move the election to November. The children should be free of the special interests that control and influence the school board to the detriment of the children, he said.”

  10. Try voting your own mind, look at the people running and make up your mind not the people you are told to vote for. Think about the students and what they are missing because of somebody saying it isn’t needed. Think about helping the teachers I have not heard one person running for the school board saying anything about them, they need some help keeping the classrooms up to date with todays education. To give a little might mean your taxes will go up a little but that is life.We all know it takes a little give and take, but Lakewood board only understands take.

  11. i wish the vaad (whoever thety are) would come out and speak straight ot the peple instead of just saying ‘chesed’ ‘klal’ just vote and really addreass issues and explain why they feel their candidates should be voted in. The last candidatesd they voted for increased my taxes. Why is that a good thing? Can they explain why we sghouold vote for who they say we should? Why shouldn’t we vote for Yoni who has voted for the klals benfit many times to save taxpayers money? Can anyone on the VAAD please explain instead of just treating this like people who just say yes yes yes?

  12. The scoop is obviously in cohoots with LAC. They only post pro LAC and are very selective when it comes to supporting the Vaad endorsed candidates. Of course this comment will also not be posted.

  13. I am with #4, Besides for being a Mentch, Grunhut is an accomplished person, and I would be very happy to have his leadership and experience on the board. Everyone please vote for him, It would be a big Kiddush Hashem if a frum town was objective and voted for Miccio, I hope this reasoning translates into a large turnout and a victory for these candidates on election day.

  14. GO SCHWARTZ-SILVER AND MUND. THEY WILL MAKE REAL CHNAGE WE NEED HIM TO WIN !!!. GUYS VOTE FOR THESE CANDIDATES.

THE OTHER CANDIDATES RAISED YOUR TAXES EVERY YEAR SINCE 2000. REMEMBER THIS, DON’T BE FOOLED

  15. I appreciate what Rabbi Hertz is doing in bringing the facts to light. I am somewhat resigned to the fact that things wont altogether change regadinng taxes etc, but it pays to try. VOTE MUND SCHWARTZ AND SINGER, for fresh voices on the school board
