About Bnos Basya:

Hidden in the heart of Lakewood lies a beautiful building nestled between Wadsworth and Edgecomb Avenue.

This building is the home of Bnos Basya High School.

Bnos Basya is one of the newer high schools in Lakewood and are proud of their 9th-11th grade students who are proud to call Bnos Basya their home.

Bnos Basya is renowned for its small class sizes, warm principals, and teachers which makes it so unique and exciting.

“Here in Bnos Basya, we want every student to feel special, we want each girl to shine and blossom and become the best that she can be!” enthuses our veteran principal, Mrs. R Zoberman.

Mrs. Zoberman was a beloved 8th-grade teacher in Bais Yakov Toronto for many years and has recently relocated to Lakewood just in time to take the reigns of Bnos Basya into her capable hands.  She is assisted by the well-known, Mrs. P. Myers as the English principal, whose warmth and forward-thinking chinuch approach makes her a valued force by both teachers and students alike.

 Bnos Basya supports an excellent staff where teachers are encouraged to teach at a high academic level all the while supporting students who might need some extra support and encouragement.

“The goal of my classes is that my students should love to learn, I daven that the lessons I teach will remain with my students long after their marks have been recorded,” says Mrs. S.M. Neuman, a member of the Hanhala of Bnos Basya.

Mrs. R. Schwartz adds, “Teaching in Bnos Basya is the highlight of my day!  The girls are respectful, interested, and a pleasure to teach!!” “It is an absolute treat teaching in Bnos Basya,” says Mrs. C.E. Feldman, “the classes are alive and engaging.  The students are here to grow and succeed and I look forward to my time with them!!”

Additionally, Bnos Basya supports an active and robust extra-curricular program.

There are monthly assemblies, chagigas, melave malkas, mishmeres programs and the like.  The girls have recently started working on a small-scale production that they will perform for their families and friends.  “We are so happy we chose Bnos Basya for our daughter” “my daughter comes to school so happily and willingly each day, she looks forward to the classes, her friends, and all the extracurricular activities. We could not be happier with our choice!” “We love the small school feel of Bnos Basya, we know our daughter is thriving and growing in an environment where she knows that she is a valued and appreciated member of her school!”

Bnos Basya is here to support the next generation as they grow and mature into the future Imahos of Klal Yisroel.

We are named after the revered Rebbetzin Basya Bender a”h who helped transplant the Bais Yakov systems of Europe onto American soil.
It is our hope and tefillah that we can transplant her legacy to the next frontier of Lakewood, New Jersey, and that we will be zoche to watch future doros embrace the challenges of this generation with the fortitude and strength that they received during their formative years ensconced in the fortressed walls of Bnos Basya High School.
