Bloods Street Gang Leader Gets Additional 7 Years In Prison

gang graffiti lakewood high schoolThe leader of a violent arm of a New Jersey street gang has been sentenced to an additional seven years in prison for directing criminal activities of the gang from prison. At sentencing Tuesday, Superior Court Judge Edward Neafsey said 36-year-old David “Duke” Allen must serve the additional time consecutively to a 30-year murder sentence he is currently serving.

Allen has admitted he is the top leader of the Nine Trey Gangsters set of the Bloods street gang in New Jersey.

He pleaded guilty in June to racketeering, admitting he directed drug dealing and extortion of Newark business owners from Trenton State Prison.

The state Division of Criminal Justice said Allen was among 59 defendants indicted in a gang sweep dubbed “Operation Nine Connect.” AP
