Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus will host a community blood and platelet drive on Tuesday, November 25, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The event will take place on the hospital’s patio at 600 River Avenue in Lakewood.

Hospital officials say the need for donors is urgent, noting that local patients rely heavily on community participation to maintain an adequate supply of lifesaving blood and platelets.

Appointments are encouraged. Donors can schedule a time by calling 732-905-3020 or by visiting rwjuhdonorclub.org.

The drive is being presented in partnership with Bikur Cholim of Lakewood, The Lakewood Scoop, and RWJBarnabas Health.
