The National Weather Service has issued a Blizzard Warning, replacing the Blizzard Watch, which is in effect from 7 pm this evening until 10 am Sunday.
The area will get heavy snow, gusty winds and blowing snow resulting in blizzard conditions.
Snow accumulations of 10 to 14 inches is expected, the Service warns.
The strongest winds and greatest potential for blizzard conditions will be during the day Saturday. Wind gusts of 50 MPH are possible.

Feel nervous for those with electric stoves. If there’s a power outage at night then no cholent. I made a huge cholent to put on my blech with the intent of sharing with my neighbors that don’t have gas stoves but later realized that I can’t even share. One has to assume the eruv will be down. Can’t imagine Shabbos without cholent.

I’m not sure why people post numbers from weather.com which are outdated and inaccurate. The NWS is forecasting 8-14 inches tonight and shabbos with additional heavy accumulations on motzai shabbos
