bear teaberry ctPHOTO: [UPDATED] A black bear was spotted in several residential areas over Shabbos, residents tell TLS. The black bear, said to be full size, was spotted in the 14th Street area, Teaberry Court area and in between.

Teaberry Court residents report seeing the bear in a tree at about 7 p.m. this evening, and police were summoned to the area.

“The bear went back into the forest about 45 minutes later,” an area resident told TLS.

Police reportedly said that Animal Control wouldn’t be summoned unless the bear was acting aggressively.

  1. Wow this is great A Black Bear in Lakewood makes me feel like i’m in the catskills. Just waiting to see & smell more skunks that would be even better

  2. @ lawyer, Orthodox Jews do not take pictures on shabbos, however we live in a community with people who have different faiths.its a probability that a non Jew took the picture and TLS got hold of it. Great question though..

  3. After all ur Hi-Quality jokes, this is NOT a laughing matter. If I was near that neighborhoof I would run, not walk, to Center Of Town & buy me some Bear Mace. A large, economy-sized one, I mean. Alternatively, I would drive there.
