Hatzolah and Bikur Cholim will be holding its 5th annual Community Health Screening event for men this Sunday. The event last year, says Hatzolah, resulted in three men being sent to the Emergency Room following the screening. “People sometimes don’t realize that their Cholesterol or Blood Pressure is not the way it should be”, a Hatzolah member says.
Talking about the importance of periodic screening, the Hatzolah member says, “It has saved many lives in the past.”
About 750 men showed up at last year’s event.
The screening includes testing for Cholesterol, Glucose, Blood Pressure, Oxygen Saturation and Body Mass Index.
This year’s screening, will take place at the Esther Gerber Auditorium (5th & Madison), between the hours of 1PM-6PM.
There is a suggested $5 donation to help cover some of the expenses. TLS.
What ages is this for?
Will there also be one for ladies?
can others in the community attend?
I don’t think it is necessary to do one for ladies. Fact is that statistically women are a lot more proactive than men; & regularly visit their MD’s or OB’s.
#3 that what its for ; all in the community
are there long lines?
To #3, Yes. It is open to all men. Please come.
