BEWARE: NYPD Checkpoint Looking for Violators on New HOV Lane Extension

As reported last week on our alerts, the NYPD has a checkpoint in place on the new HOV lane extension on the Staten Island Expressway.

Cones have been set up to prevent drivers from exiting the lane once entered, and numerous motorists have been pulled over for violating the HOV laws.

Motorists must have three people or more in the vehicle in order to use the HOV lane.
