Over the past few weeks, there have been multiple incidents involving pedestrians struck by vehicles. Some of these accidents could be avoided by taking simple precautions, such as by wearing a reflector.
There is a limited supply of free reflectors available at the Lakewood Township Municipal building.
They can be picked up at the office of Mr. Yehuda Abrah‎am, located on the second floor.

Reflectors are important and street lights are also important, but what is most important is pedestrians not walking and crossing where they shouldn’t. Look at the recent pedestrian accidents and you will see what I mean.
I’m not trying to make this like a Simon game (red, red green, red green blue, red green blue red), but I think you will agree with me that while more lights and crossing safely are important, it is also important for everyone to be wearing a reflector – and then to also cross safely, and also, more street lights help. Even in Brooklyn, where there are a lot of streetlights, there have been numerous calls for reflectors; both by askanim and regular people (in comments on sites). Night is night, and it’s dark; even if there are lights. How much more so in Lakewood where there are numerous dark patches along the streets, and how much more so in Monsey, where there are many street without sidewalks (because it is very rural. They are adding sidewalks over the years. And in Lakewood they are adding streetlights). But reflectors are very important. TY
I am often driving locally across town at night. I can (barely) see the many young men/boys walking on roads at night. If you have a teenage son, or any male member of your family that dresses in typically dark clothes, PLEASE go out and buy reflectors. This is such a cheap item, that is easily available in grocery stores.

It is the utmost in selfishness to walk around in the pitch dark without a reflector.
When I was younger I used to bike and walk A lot at night and it’s extremely dangerous how COMPLETELY INVISIBLE we are in black clothing uniforms.

I almost hit three young men a few days ago. They were apparently hitchhiking, dressed all in black, blocking the entrance to a strip mall that I was turning into. My headlights did not illuminate them until I started to turn, making it impossible to see them until the last second.
Please wear the reflectors. I really don’t want to kill you.
