why are they doing this. If I want to go to investors bank coming from the east I have to go thru 88 or 4 st which both are congested from before plus the new added traffic diverted now
There will only be more backup on Park and Main.
Park & main was backed up until second street this morning.
It took me 7 minutes to get through.
Will the now move the driveby mailbox on first and clifton to the other corner so it should be facing the drivers side?
Just watched a bus turn the wrong way onto first street and proceed down the block against oncoming traffic. Getting to second street from the higher numbers and monmouth/lex/park areas takes twice as long now, since you can’t make a right turn onto first, and have to use 88. What a mess!
just stay out of the area all together.
i drove that way earlier and i saw at least 10 cars going the wrong way! are people so stupid that they cant read the signs! lakewood drivers are the worse
Only in Lakewood would a police presence be need when traffic changes are implemented. Only in Lakewood!!!

#8 mr hello you are wrong with your statement. people do things like this out of habit and the township should be more responsible to put an officer at that street for several days so that people can be educated of the new pattern . a sign is not enough in a situation so drastic. not everyone reads newspapewrs or these blogs. maybe huge signs should be posted as to the exact change ,not just that flashing sign that doesn’t explain the change.
Why wouldn’t you report what the traffic pattern change is?!
