I’m friends with the Manies starting from Censor’s Bungalo Colony back in the 70’s. And over the years I became friends with a few of the boys, mostly from Yeshiva S. Fallsburg. She was the nicest lady. A gifted artist, she was the quintessential Yiddeshe Mammeh, greeting all her sons’ friends, and they had a combined 100’s of friends, for real, with the biggest smile and warm Hello. Thisbis a loss for her family and all of us that knew and admired her. We should also mention, her son-in-law, R’ Zalman Fishman, a”h, mamesh a Malach.

Such a special, nice lady. I’m friends with some of her sons. As I recall, there’s another son in Cleveland and a daughter in E”Y.

I am so sorry to hear about this petira. Mrs manies, you went above and beyond in using your distinct talent to lift everyone around you. The satire at MH&O office was so amusing and certainly presented a unique response to cancer and all illnesses. May you be a meilitz yosher for your family and the Lakewood community which you touched with your charisma

Mrs. Manies was so warm, funny and full of simchas hachaim. She had six sons (the ones listed plus her son in Cleveland) and an only daughter Rochel Cohen who lives in Detroit. Her only son-in-law is Rav Daniel Cohen, not Zalman Fishman.

I am devastated. Mrs Manies was such a special person who treated everyone with the utmost respect and friendship. She was a person who constantly gave of herself, she was a most wonderful woman. I will never forget her warmth, kindness and wonderful sense of humor.
May she be Meiluz Yosher for her Choshov family and for the entire Klal Yisroel.

The world has lost a wonderful woman, Mrs. Manies exemplified simchas hachaim. We all need to learn from her, no matter what the situation is to be happy, show warmth and concern to others. Greet people with happiness.
I must mention the yashrus of her and her husband A’h, how they ran the store with such yashrus and hakpadah on tznius. The family should have a Nechama.
Mrs. Manies you will be missed.

Yiddeshe Mamme is right. Zalman Fishman is her son’s brother in law, not her son in law. I got confused.
My bad.
