[VIDEO 1 – VIDEO 2 – UPDATED 7:40 AM] Many gathered this evening to take part in the tremendous Neis which openly transpired to Reb Pinchus Huminer just one year ago Purim after being critically struck by a vehicle.
The crowd gathered in a tent erected in the spot where Reb Huminer lay almost lifeless just one year, to hear Reb Pinchus publicly Bentch Gomel, after enduring a year of much pain and suffering, but mostly by those close to him.
Reb Sender Kaszirer, the MC of the evening, spoke about how Reb Huminer’s physical appearance is unfortunately much better than his mental state and how Reb Huminer has a hard time remembering his children at times. R’ Kaszirer says Reb Huminer requires much therapy to return him to a somewhat normal life.
Following R’ Kaszirer’s opening remarks, R’ Malkiel Kotler delievred Divrei Chizuk.
Also speaking, was R’ Meir Lichtenstien, one of the first Hatzolah members on scene, who gave a first-hand account of the horrifying moments following the accident. Meir explained in detail – as per the family’s request – how they nearly lost R’ Pinchos several times, but “The Hatzolah member, Sheluchim from Hakodosh Baruch Hu, fought back against the Malach Hamoves.”
After a moving speech, Reb Pinchos got up to make the Bracha with much emotion which was answered with a loud “Amen”.
Reb Pinchos also read from a prepared letter thanking all who had assisted him with Mesiras Nefesh over the last year, and asked from the Ribono Shel Olam that he make him healthy again to be able to return to his Avodas Hakodesh and to once again be able to provide for and be there for his wife and children.
The event concluded with Divrei Bracha from Harav Simcha Bunim Cohen, and dancing . TLS.
