  1. A tzaddik a malach a gaon an adir a gadol of this generation
    What a loss
    No one like him.
    No one will replace him.
    Genius simchas hachayim
    Smart personable level headed
Had NO zeech, it was never about him.
Only about everyone else, his people
He was so so so loved
    And now sooooo missed

  2. He made everyone feel like his best friend when he spoke to you.
He epitomized the Gemara that says whoever runs from kavod, kavod will run after him.
He always had a good answer for everything.
The world will not be the same without the “ruv”.

  3. If you knew our Rav, there’s no need to say anything .. and if didn’t know him.. no words will do justice
    What a tremendous loss

  4. A true tragedy felt by all those who were close to him. He was a man who was able to relate to everyone on their level. A father to all his mispalelim and talmidim. I was honored to have been on the receiving end of his wisdom and kind words many times. May his neshama have an aliyah. TNZV”H

  6. He was a true fire, as a rebbe he would connect to his talmidim on a deep level that was unmatched.
He will be sorely missed. 💔

  7. I’m from out of two and was getting married in Lakewood. Rabbi Gruber was in-laws’ Rav and would be the Mesader Kiddushin for our wedding. On the morning of the chasuna, he brings me to his house (this was maybe the second time I’d met him) and we have a discussion, he goes through the kesubah word-by-word so I’d truly understand what would be happening tonight. Every time I went back to Lakewood he greeted me with a smile and took some time ask me how I was doing. Such an incredible man. He will be missed. BDE.

  8. BDE! A tremendous loss for all. We knew each other growing up and was in awe at how he built a kehillah like his father did in Canarsie and his grandfather did in Flatbush.
Like his father, Avraham Zev Gruber, ztl he spoke from the heart and meant every word of what he said.
May Harav Yekusiel Yehuda ben Harav Avraham Zev,ztl be a maylitz yosher for the family and all of Klal Yisroel.

  9. This is so painful. Besides for being my Rav and Posek he was, like, my best friend & I dodn’t even daven there so often.
And his chesed was legendary, I remember, not too long ago, he would be in Tomchei Shabbos warehouse, before the bid=g deliveries, he took off his LAnge Reckel and Beaver hat, put on a puffer coat and back brace and he handled the pallet jack for HOURS. Like a regular Joe Shmo.
This was a person who was comfortable answering shailos in all 4 chalakim of Shulchan Aruch.
THis is just a HUge loss for Klal Yisroel BiChlal & Lakewood BiFrat.
    Yehi Zichro Boruch.
