UPDATED: We regret to inform you of the passing of Chester (Betzalel) Davis Z’L who was found lifeless in his apartment this afternoon. Neighbors went to check on the close to 91 year old in his Forest Avenue apartment after not hearing from him in days, and upon entering his apartment found him laying on the floor.

Hatzolah Paramedics pronounced the man at his home.

Police and Detectives also responded to the home to investigate, but the death was determined to have been caused by Cardiac Arrest due to old age, officials say.

Officials also say it appears he has been laying there for several days.

Chester Z’L had no family and is considered a Meis Mitzvah.

UPDATE: His Levaya will be taking place at the 7th Street cemetery at 8:30 PM this evening.
