Baruch Dayan Ha’emes: [Levaya info] We regret to inform you of the Petirah of Mrs. Chana Faiga Unger A’H, who was Niftar this morning in Lakewood after suffering a Cardiac Arrest at her home. Mrs. Unger, the mother-in-law of Harav Shmuel Blech Shlita. She was 95.
The Levaya will be taking place at the 7th Street Chapel at 4:40 p.m. today.
Mrs. Ungar was a remarkable woman. She escaped with her young husband- partisan-like, from the Nazis YMSH. She settled in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn, where she lived for decades right across the street from Yeshiva Bais Hatalmud. Her husband was a humble, unassuming ehrliche yid who was a devoted mispalel at the Faltishanel Shtiebel. He was also an accomplish Talmud Chacham. Although they were people of means, they chose to live simply and modestly; supporting their large family and numerous mosdos hatorah in anonymity!
It was always an honor to know such refined, elegant people. Their passing leaves their acquaintances with a tremendous sense of loss. The lessons learned will never be forgotten. Tehai Nishmasam Tzerurah Betzror Hachaim!
