Using some of the Clean Communities Grant funds, the Barnegat Bay Blitz will be performing a clean up in several areas in Lakewood, DPW’s Supervisor Tony Arrechi tells TLS. Last year, the project resulted in a cleanup around Lake Carasaljo. They collected 17 bags full of trash and 20 bags full of recyclables, according to their website.

Arrechi says some of the grant money will be used to purchase gloves for children of the Public School system, who will take part in the cleanup and give back to the community by keeping it a clean place. TLS.
