Authorities searching for man who robbed Brick shop at gunpoint

Local authorities are searching for a man suspected of robbing a Brick store at gunpoint.

At approximately 10:45 am, officers responded to Lepore’s Service Center at 380 Herbertsville Road., for a report of a robbery.

Upon arrival, officers spoke to the clerk at the station who stated that a black male, approximately 5’ 8” or 5’ 9”, wearing all black, brandished a handgun and stole an undisclosed amount of proceeds. The suspect then fled the area on foot.

Patrol units canvassed the area while detectives conducted their investigation with the aid of Ocean County Sheriff’s officers.

The victim was not injured.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call the Brick Township Detective Bureau.

The incident comes just days after another armed robbery in the Township.
