The Toms River Police Department along with Ocean County College Security are investigating a threat made against the College.

The College says a threat was made through social media.

“The threat has not been verified and the increased security is a precautionary measure. We will keep the campus community apprised as more information becomes available,” the College announced.

UPDATE 2:00 PM: “The threat has been abated,” the College stated.
