  1. Why don’t we try that trick from the generation of King Achav.
Everyone was at peace with each other, no bad-mouthing, no one snitched on the next guy, people simply respected the other person. In that merit, the Almighty made sure that no one got killed and also no one got injured.
I am sure for Lakewood and the communities near by, we can add that the Almighty will make sure that everyone will be saved and we won’t hear about any shootings in the merit of our trying very hard that we should be at peace with one another.
All the non-Jews will also benefit tremendously, because they won’t get hurt either.
The ball is in our hand. We are in the drivers seat. It is all up to us.

    • Please take it easy.
A few bad apples does not mean that everyone is bad.
Look at all the stores, catering halls , workers at a Simcha, a lot of them work very hard.
The US citizens that were born here, a lot of them including myself do not want to do physical labor.
We appreciate the Spanish people that came from South America.
Many of them are doing jobs here in Lakewood, that most people avoid those jobs. They are really helping us.

  2. #2, totally agree. Not sure why all slumlords aren’t put into Cherem. Their “business” is pitched where עכזרות meets חילול השם. No good can ever justify money gained from such a source.

  3. I heard several gunshots at 4am on Shabbos morning. I’m several blocks away from E 4th. I reported it to the police on motzei Shabbos. They didn’t know anything about a 4:00 shooting.
