Authorities investigating serious accident in Lakewood [VIDEO]

Police are investigating a serious accident in Lakewood this evening.

The accident happened on New Hampshire Ave. between Ridge Avenue and Route 88 shortly before midnight.

One party was transported to Jersey shore University Medical Center with serious injuries.

The road is shut in both directions in the area.
