UPDATED: Police are investigating multiple home burglaries which occurred over Shabbos, TLS has learned. The home burglaries occurred in Village Park and are believed to have taken place early Shabbos morning.
At least one home reportedly had a window broken
Pocketbooks and credit cards were stolen.

Lcsw and LPD were busy with and chased a group out of village park very late wednesday night. Maybe its the same guys?
It is meaningful that a window was broken. Most Lakewood burglaries are the result of leaving the premises unsecured.
Here we go again. This happens EVERY SHABBOS!! we need more patrols.

How much trouble is it to invest in a home security system? Two main companies offer “FREE” installation. You don’t need nothing elaberate. There are many options but the basic is windows and doors wired up and/or just the inside motion detector. If they enter, the Silent Alarm is tripped and the police are immediately notified without the intruder knowing. If you are gun ho, you can get all the bells and whhistles that go with it. Again, there are many options offered to protect ones home. I have it and have a peace and frame of mind now not worrying about a burglar. My system also has the fire protection feature too.

I got a psak – if you wake up during the night and you see proof that someone “attempted” to break in, you may call the polcie ON SHABBOS. this was asked with the fact that the local criminals are going door to door and they may be at your neighboors house or somewhere close by. They are not going to go away- even if you scare them off. they will jsut go down the block tot he next victim. They are considered ROTZCHIM and therfore ones needs to protect themsleves and their neighboorhood.
