Authorities Investigating Hate Crime At Bais Hatavshil

PHOTOS: Authorities are investigating an apparentĀ hate crime at the Lakewood Bais Hatavshil. The owners of the Bais Hatavshil returned today to find the place broken into and found a swastika and other hate messages scrawled on the walls, floors and chairs.

The Bais Hatavshil, located on 2nd Street, serves about 100 meals a day.

CIU responded and is investigating the incident.

I hope the bais hatavshil can deal with the monetary damage… I mean they are preparing and giving full meal plus fruit, bread, coffee, tea, and salads for dozens of people 5 days a week.

May Hashem bless you owners of bais hatavshil.

The Bais Hatavshil is one of the quiet treasures of the town where all those who come to Lakewood to raise desperately needed funds for their famalies or organizations have a place to eat in privacy and dignity. We can’t imagine how embarrasing it is for so many of these Yidden to come to a town and go quarter by quarter and dollar by dollar. Here a place of Kedusha is attacked by the greatest Teuma that can exist. We wish Rabbi Menachem Kantor and R’ Zev Cohen the back bone of this Organization tremendous success in all they do in giving encouragement and strength to those who quietly suffer and go from door to door begging Hashem Yisborach for so much needed help. A bracha and Hatzlacha to all that participate in this great Mitzva.

this is down-right disgusting.
To those who are responsible: if your so secure in your hatred, STAND UP AND OWN UP TO YOUR DESPICABLE SELF. DONT HIDE LIKE THE COWARD THAT YOU ARE.

your parents should be ashamed of themselves.

It doesn’t look like a swastika to me but it sounds like a bunch of board teenagers which i see in this town

As an outsider of this community and long time resident I see a lot of teens from the community drifting away and behaving like secular kids it almost seems like they are revolting against the system I recommend that the community starts a program in order to keep them contained (maybe jobs or a study program catered to smaller groups [more attention] like we did in our church)

#9 brian look at all the pictures including using ketchup to write hitlers name
I went down to see it not just judge by the pics
the best program to keep them contained is LOCKING THEM UP. they had to divert people from getting food until the CIU was done with their work.

it seems that you don’t know, don’t want to know, or simply don’t care that anti semitism exists. A swastika is a swastika…
