A woman was robbed in downtown Lakewood this afternoon, police confirm to TLS.

The woman was reportedly walking in the area of Main Street and the tracks around 3:30 PM when she was approached by a man who demanded her money.

The suspect, who was not armed, made off with several hundred dollars in cash and the victim’s cell phone, police say.

The suspect is being described as a white male with a beard.

The victim was not injured, police say.

CSI and K9 are assisting Lakewood’s Detective Bureau in the investigation.
