Authorities are investigating an assault that occurred in Lakewood this afternoon.
Police responded to the area in the south end of Lakewood at approximately 1:30 PM for the reports of a victim assaulted by multiple suspects.
According to preliminary information, the suspects may have used a bat in the assault. They fled the scene.
Two ambulances responded to the scene.
