A man was assaulted and robbed last night, police confirm to TLS. Police say four black males punched a Hispanic male in the face on Ocean Avenue and Clover Street, andproceeded to rob him. The incident occurred at about 9 PM.
The suspects made off with several hundred dollars in cash proceeds.
Police had no suspect information available.
The victim was transported to KMC, with non life-threatening injuries.
CIU is investigating the incident.
These poor Hispanic men in our community work 10-12 hours a day making an honest living. Along come a few animals and grab a whole day’s earnings. They wait for them as they know for the most part, they carry cash. Shame on these animals. They should learn to EARN their money.

no actually i agree with lakewood resident on this one. it must be hard coming to america from mexico or some other place to get a job and earn money for a family. and then when it gets stolen, they might ask God why this had to happen to them.
The four criminals hopefully will be caught and go to jail and the guy with the big wad of cash should get direct deposit. However, if he is getting cash because he is ILLEGAL, then he should go home to his country and come back LEGALLY so he can get a legit, tax paying job and get a check or direct deposit. Sad, but working illegally is stealing from all hardworking tax paying Americans. Criminals stole from a criminal.
