Authorities are investigating an armed home invasion that occurred in Lakewood today.
At approximately 3:30 pm, Officer Sean Ward was dispatched to a Woodlake Manor home in response to a reported home invasion.
Upon arrival, the victims reported that two masked men entered their home through an unlocked front door.
Once inside the suspects, one armed with a handgun, demanded money and any prescription medication.
After taking serval prescription drugs the suspects fled the area in an unknown direction.
The suspects were described as: one black male, tall, heavyset, with dreadlocks and last seen wearing black sweatpants and a black sweatshirt.
The second male, who was reportedly armed, is described as tall, slender and last seen wearing gray sweatpants and a gray sweatshirt.
Further investigation, by Officer Michael Mooney Jr. and Det. Michael Cavallo resulted in the identification of 22 year old Ajhawn Wallace of Manchester.
Within minutes of the development of the information, Officer Jon Pederson located Mr. Wallace in the area of Martin Luther King Drive and Cedarbridge Avenue. He was arrested without incident.
Wallace has been charged with Burglary and Robbery. Bail was set at $300,000 no 10% option.
At this time the investigation is continuing and additional charges for the second suspect are expected.

I’m glad these people got justice so far, I remember my house got robbed in Woodlake too, the cops did nothing, and expected me to go ask around the jewelry stores to see of anyone had tried selling them, smh why steal from people? Get a job and get your own, people who rob are lossers
I hope these robber are same robber that been hitting Lakewood and Jackson, NJ I hope so and maybe we can get everything back what they stole
Why do we need to “dispatch” a police officer to woodlake manor, by now they should have a sub station there. It will be much more efficient , since the police will be there already & can be at the scene within moments. “just a thought.
