Authorities are investigating an aggravated assault with a weapon in a senior village in Lakewood, police confirm to TLS.‎

Shortly after 1 PM on Sunday, police and emergency personnel were summoned to Leisure Village for the report of an assault.

Upon arri‎val, police and emergency personnel located a male with severe injuries suffered by another male, police say.

Police did not specify what kind of weapon was used in the assault, but sources tell TLS a baseball bat was used to hit the victim multiple times.

The victim was‎ hospitalized, though his condition was not released. Ages of the parties involved were also not available.

The incident is under investigation.
