Authorities Investigating after Young Woman found Dead in Apparent Drug Overdose

doa overdose 2nd stA young woman was found dead in Lakewood this afternoon, in what police say appears to be a drug overdose.

Police and EMS responded to the downtown apartment around 1:15 PM this afternoon, and upon arrival located the body of the young woman. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

“It’s a suspected overdose at this time, pending an autopsy,” police tell TLS.

The woman was in her early twenties, police said.

Lakewood’s Detective Bureau is investigating the death.

God Bless her. She is at peace now. My heart goes out to her family. So beautiful so young. PLEASE stop this madness our children are dying.
