I heard the story about the shirtless king’s courier before, but your masterful telling and illuminating insights heightened my appreciation of its meaning. Thanks.

I had no idea there was any “controversy”…Too bad I’m at work so I can’t listen.

Excellent commentary. Intriguing thoughts. The question bothered me as well: Was it a Kiddush H-shem that the owners of American Pharoah camped out in the parking lot before the race that made them triple-crown winners, so as to be able to walk to have race & not have to drive on Shabbos or should they have just stayed home ? Of course it’s easy to say: they should’ve stayed home but, would you have stayed home ? Would I ? I’ll never know.

I thought you’re supposed to let your horse rest on Shabbos and not work. This horse definitely earns his keep.

Wow. Excellent. Rabbeinu Peretz at his usual, brilliant self. I agree with Command Post, as usual, its a tough question & a difficult answer.
