In response to the recent burglaries around down, the Lakewood Police Department is going out of their way to ensure residents feel even more secure when leaving for vacation.
In an audio recording offering safety tips and announcing about increased patrol around town, Police Chief Rob Lawson announced that residents can leave their address and contact information with the police department, and police will conduct a periodic check of their residence to ensure it is safe.
To have your home checked on while you’re away, free of charge, call police at 732-363-0200, extension 5199, and leave your name, address, dates you will be away, and a contact number.
